Are you considering placing an advertisement in a local or trade periodical?
They can be great marketing tools if you know how to use them.

Here are a couple of tips:

Try to get placement on the lower half of the right hand page. Most people hold
the spine of the volume in their left hand and flip through the pages with the
thumb on their right hand. This makes the lower half of the right hand page most
easily apparent to their eyes.

You’ll need to run the ad at least 9 times before you can expect any quantifiable
results. When your phone rings – ask the caller how they heard of your service.
You need to know if your ad is paying off.

Make sure you advertisement has ALL the pertinent data about how to reach you.
If you have a website, and you should, make sure your web address is clear.

Use your photograph.

Use positive, active, benefit-oriented words. Avoid words like “dispute” & “conflict”.
Think of yourself as a specialist in resolution, not disputes.
